Gardening?

Goldfinch60

There we were

Sitting together,

My lover and I,

Sitting in the Care Home.

We were sitting by a window,

A window to the garden,

Chatting and laughing.

We looked out the window

And there he was,

One of the residents,

Sweeping leaves,

Only gently ,

But he was tidying them up.

My lover looked out

And said,

“I would like to do that”

I said “That would be fun,

Your frame in both hands

And presumably,

The broom in your teeth!”

Thanks for sharing UNCLE ANDY ~ sharing your humour in the light of adversity is a great Blessing and example to ALL of us ! We are very pleased that you are SATISFIED with Joyces Care Home & the TLC she is receiving ~ as you know so many are denied that satisfaction and their LOVED ONE ends up in a most unsatisfactory situation. We are exhorted to count our BLESSINGS ! Joyce is settled in a lovely place (Gardens are important !) near enough for you to be able to visit regularly. The humour in this Poem encourages us that ~ athough you have lost much this SAD YEAR ~ We are happy with you that your SENSE OF HUMOR is still intact ~ AMEN ! Love the video ~ Very SOOTHING ~ Visually & Aurally ! Very Sunday Morning !

Blessings & Peace to YOU & YOUR BELOVED JOYCE

I should have held that famous arrow in my teeth in 1066, not given it to the guy with his bow. All may have been well if I had done so.
Though there are wonderful 'Mouth Painters'. Some cards arrived from them in the post. I'm being Scrooge in not donating - but I never asked for the cards in the first place, and they are quite expensive too.
