Being in class is like being a fish in the sea,
And sleep is like the angry wave that overtakes me.
Some people surf the wave but I am not one.
The wave takes me down, holds me under and I cannot run.
Separated from the rest of the school of fish that at one point surrounded me.
I am lost in a dream trapped under a wave but somehow at peace.
So GOODNIGHT my friend until the current washes me ashore.
Where I’ll open my eyes to a stern look from a professor who is also pointing at the door!

Good observation put into words.
Reads like my school days!
Kind regards, Alan
Thank you for your time!
Love it - it recaptures my studies a few generations ago.
Thank you!
Generations go by but school stays the same.
Very good write and reminder of days long ago when I too was washed up on that shore.
Thank You!
