There I was
Driving up the road,
Minding my own business
When they appeared,
Appeared all around me,
Like bees round a honey pot.
What was it that attracted them,
I could have swatted them
But no, I just moved on,
And there ahead of me
Were more of them.
Why were they doing this?
What was it that attracted them.
Attracted them to me?
I had to do something,
So I put my foot down,
Swept passed them
And left those pesky Fiat Five Hundreds
In my wake.

- Comment from author about the poem: For two days running I was driving up the same road and each time I saw three or four Fiat 500s. I see them occasionally, one at a time, but never this many, and certainly not on two days running!

A swarm of Fiats - it reminds me of when I travelled in East Germany just as they started pulling down the wall - we went into a square full of Trabants which the East Germans were trying to sell. Fine write Andy.
Thank you Michael. Saying that though the Fiat 500s have been around for as long as I can remember. At one time a friend of mine parked his 500 in the car space in our front garden and that was before I had a car!
A fine write Gold. I knocked Skodas, then someone (was it you?) said 'I drove one of them!'
What was the transport like in 1066?
Don't knock Skodas!! I am on my fifth incarnation of Skodas and the one I have at the moment I think is the best car I have ever had.
It was a bit horsey and footy back in 1066.
BLESSED SUNDAY ~ Uncle Andy ~ Love the Video ~ didnt know NICOLA STURGEON was an Orchestral Conductor or was it Angela Merkel ? I (Brian) have never owned a Foreign Car ! People at Work used to castigate ME for not belonging to a Union ~ and they all drove Foreign Cars ! I told them I*ll join when I see you driving a British Car. I am a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) and they assure me that they would support me (Like a Union) in any case I had to answer for ~ AMEN ! Im driving a VAUXHALL Mariva (Geriatric Car) because I pick up Seniors and its easier for them to get in and OUT !
Blessings & Peace to YOU & YOUR Beloved Joyce
Love as always ANGELA & BRIAN ๐งก๐๐งก๐๐งก
