Wonder and Love.

Goldfinch60

I stand on the green

Mallet in hand

Ready to strike the ball.

But I look up,

Look around,

And there on this morn,

This cool winter morn,

I see the world,

The world surrounding me.

The grass so green beneath me,

The trees free of their burden,

Their burden of leaves

So I can see through them.

I look further and see the hills

So clear in this sun filled day.

All around beauty is seen,

Natures glory in my world.

I look once more at the hills,

And look further,

Into my life.

My life of wonder and love,

Natures wonder is part of me

And that love for my world,

Will never fail.

    Good write Gold.

Great observation and write. I was driving on Monday in the sunshine and the colours in the trees as it reflected on the branchhes and twigs was quite stunning, greens, sienna, red, and muted blues - as much beauty as there is when they are in full leaf. Trouble it can look a tad grim on a wet grey day.. Thankfully today the sun is shining.

Its is so amazing what you can see when you really look, so many do not.
      Thank you Michael.

Such times are magic. I'm sure you've had many of them. They stay with you though don't they and add to your positive attitude and joy of living. Well that's how it is for me anyway.

I almost put "Wonderful World" on as the track but then found that glorious guitar interpretation.
