We owe a duty and we ought
to stop and give a little thought
to those who will this Christmas be
devoid of friends and company.
So if there’s someone all alone
please get in touch by telephone.
I’m asking friends for drinks and eats
and I desperately need some extra seats

A thoughtful write M. It stings this time of year, with those lonely, etc. Meanwhile - can you take some of these Berles for Christmas dinner? There seem to be about a million of theme I've invited!
Not at home Christmas so the Berles will have to have to celebrate the Festy Berles on their own. Did you get irony or is it too hidden in my post?
Such a poignant write Michael, I may have been on my own as Joyce is seriously ill in hospital but our daughter is coming over.
Yes poignant in the first stanza but I enjoyed writing the hidden irony in the second - well if he's all alone he won't need those extra seats will he.
Pleased you're not alone Andy - we'll be at my sons in Laughton.;

ONLY the LONELY ~ For them CHRISTMAS
Is NO FUN ~ It always reminds them of lost
Loved Ones and Christmas* Past. Thank
GOD for FAMILY @ Christmas Time !
Thanks for caring & Sharing. We support the local Salvation Army (financially) who provide CMAS DINNER for the Lonely & Needy & Homeless but they are overbooked this Year so they may run one on Boxing Day ? On of our Pastors suggested that next we could share with the SA and host CMAS DINNER for about 50 (it would need 12 Volunteers) in our Church Hall. None of our Congregation will be alone on CHRISTMAS DAY or New Years Eve ~ AMEN
Blessings & Peace to YOU & YOURS

Enjoy the drinks and meal. The color of the paint is so beautiful.
Hi Michael,
An excellent write!
Xmas can indeed be a lonely time if we don't have the companionship of others to share this special time with.
Keep writing FineB
