Tune & Hymn: The First Nowell
Luke 2 v.15 - 20
************
Shepherds, they saw heavenly vision
Their dark enlightened as shining of the sun
They said, Let us to Bethlehem go
That truth of the angel's words we may know
Chorus
The words fulfilled, they saw the child
Christ born, holy, pure, undefiled
They came with haste, and Mary did see
And Joseph, with new-born babe laid in manger He
When they had seen, they told the message
News of salvation unto all of each age - Chorus
They said, The angel to us did say
To you is born in city of David this day
A Saviour who is named Christ the Lord
Go see Him, for faithful, honest is this word - Chorus
And this shall be a sign unto you
You shall find the babe all wrapped in swaddling clothes new
Laying cattle's food trough, manger
No room in the inn for them there to share - Chorus
And we too saw a heavenly host
A multitude praising God, worshipping Him most
Fervent, singing, Glory in highest
And on earth peace, good will to men, they blessed - Chorus
