velvet

dusk arising

In the way that velvet excites
with its touch on the back of my hand
now mother nature excites my eyes
with velvet hues of boiling mercurial eastern pink scarfs
melding through lilac and purple blue ribbons
to golden crushed orange shades
draped beneath pregnant skies of morning blue
where now erupts the bright dazzling golden globe of life
as i behold the birth of magnificent dawn

Yep, but most of mine are viewed over rooftops these days.... i do know what the real thing looks like though and sometimes when i cannot find slumber i'll take a drive through the night to find the dawn.

Speechless at the beauty of this superb description. This one goes into my faves at once.

I had my literary loom out with this one. Not my usual style but i like to have a go at a few different genres just to prove to myself i can do it.
The dawn though is such an inspiring time as i know you have found having read some of your lovely 'early bird' poetry.

The dawn is indeed that stunning visual. So taken for granted too.
