Tune: Es Ist Ein Ross Entsprungen (= A rose is sprung up)
('A great and mighty wonder')
Luke 1 v.39 - 45
**********
Mary to hills of Judah
Went swift, for she did stir
Entered house of her cousin
Showing the good news then
Chorus
Tell of the new babe's births
To come here unto this earth
John Baptist and Jesus
Zacharias* she did meet (*John's father)
And Elisabeth^ greet (^John's mother)
When she did hear Mary's voice
Babe in her womb rejoice - Chorus
Elisabeth, she was filled
With the Spirit, fears stilled
With loud voice she did proclaim
Blessed Mary be your name - Chorus
Blessed you be among women
And fruit of your womb, then
Why be to me this honour
That you on me confer? - Chorus
Fro you, mother of my Lord
According to His word
For soon as your greeting voiced
My babe heard, leaped, rejoiced - Chorus
And blessed are you that believed
Favour you have received
Those things the Lord said to you
He will sure fulfil, do - Chorus

- Comment from author about the poem: A carol-poem: Verses in 7.6.7.6. Chorus in 6.7.6. metre. original by St Germanus - looks to have lived until age 110, though birth-date is a bit uncertain. But at least to age 95 it seems. Very old, from mid 7th to mid 8th centuries. Coming to end of Carol season.

OK - Fido will allow joy and excitement at times - if not of the 'hot' variety! He's a one! lol.
Fine work. Do Jum Ping and For Joy come from North Korea?
Thanks M. Oh yes, they do!
