A WHITE ANGELIC BUTTERFLY ~ LIFTED MY DISCONSOLATION ~ AMEN !
SITTING disconsolate ~ musing under a Tree
Watching the Clouds as they drifted by
Wondering ~ What will My Future be ?
When a large White Butterfly ~ fluttered by !
WATCHING the Clouds as they drifted by
Counting Cumulus Castles in the AIR
When a Large White Butterfly ~ fluttered by
Then softly lighted on My HAIR !
COUNTING Cumulus Castles in the AIR
A feeling of PEACE ~ from the Butterfly White
Then softly lighted on My HAIR
Was She an ANGEL sent ~ to sooth my Heart that night ?

This reflective POEM is presented as a PANTOUM which reinforces
the message through repetition ! A PANTOUM is written in Rhyming
QUATRAINS (abab bcbc etc) with the 2nd & 4th line of each verse
forming the 1st & 3rd line of the subsequent verse ~ OK ! In the
final verse the 2nd line is the 3rd line of VERSE 1 and the final line
the 1st line of VERSE 1 ~ OK ! This ensures each line is repeated.
Also that the First & Final lines are IDENTICAL ! Please try one !
I should point out that I have no worries about getting Married in April to BRIAN
- the nicest man Ive ever met - AMEN ! Its all the other (little) things - LIKE -
Buying & furnishing a HOUSE - being responsible for the GARDEN - choosing a
CAT ! Starting a FAMILY (we know HOW but not when !) Putting my Job on hold &
living on one Income - balancing the BOOKS etc etc ! The MESSAGE from the
BUTTERFLY was *Be FREE - Dont Worry - Take each Day as it comes - AMEN*

There - the start and end of my pantoum! Now all I gotta do is write the lines in between.
ANGELA HERE - GOOD MORNING UNCLE STEVE - Very droll ! I should have pointed out that any abab rhyming set of QUATRAINS can be converted into a PANTOUM just by following the RUBRIC & taking the medicine ! Pleased you enjoyed my Presentation ! I have added a codicil to say *Im not worried about getting married - its all the other things - like Buying & Furnishing a House (& garden !) Starting a Family - giving up work etc etc but the message from the Butterfly is *Dont worry - Spread your wings - Enjoy whatever LIFE brings !*

There are many nice ways of composing a poem aren't there? Though one with refrains is particularly nice.
Styles there are many
But we always find room
In our thoughts (for a penny)
For a rhyming pantoum.

Angela here ! Thanks for your comment ALAN = Pleased you enjoyed my presentation ! Thanks for your ODE ! I have never posted a BLANK VERSE Pantoum but I am working on one for MONDAY ! Let me know when you read it ! We have always had dogs but with us out @ work all day a cat can look after itself ! In the past when I have been with my Parents to choose a PUPPY - It was always the ONE that made a FUSS of US that we took home ! So I guess in essence HE was choosing US and not vice-versa ! Cats are more aloof but I*ll let you know what happens when we go to choose one in MAY !
