I’m Fine

Caitlyn T

I’m fine.

Except the fact that every time i breath it feels like i’m underwater, struggling to get a breath.

And when I open my eyes, the only thing I can see are tears.

And when I speak you can hear the knot in my throat,

you can hear my desire to not go on anymore.

And when I take a step,

I fall,

cause I have no strength to walk, cause I have no desire to move on.

I’m fine.

Just like everyone expects me to be.

Fine.

No Problems,

No worries,

No suicidal thoughts,

just fine.

So yeah,

I’m fine.

    Welcome to MPS Caytlin!
It is strange how everybody says "I'm fine" even if they are not. Your well written poem shows it clearly. I just hope this is just poetic imagination and not your true self.
Also hope to read more from you.

Thank you! And yes these are just words. I was sad one day when I wrote it, but these are mainly just words of what many people feel. Thanks for the comment!

As Fred has said many say 'I'm fine' in spite of any ills, I am sure that you are fine and it will be better as you write your words on this site.
      Welcome to MPS.
