POETRY
A thought that transports the mind,
captured before it’s forgotten.
That for me is poetry
in language simply defined.

Yes, i'll go along with your words today 100%.
All the better if it also transports each readers mind too. Preferably somewhere close to where the author's mind found itself.
Thanks dusk. I also think it works for art:
ART
A thought that transports the mind,
captured before it’s forgotten.
That for me is artistry
in language simply defined.
Michael,
Love the “POETRY” and the painting!
Beautifully done!

Thanks Laura - the painting is a collage mono print - one of a series just completed.
Splendid!
Hopefully you’ll post the others in the series.
Would love to see them.😊
Will do.
Thank you!
Your words are so very true, many of our thoughts need to be captured in words.
Andy
Thanks Andy and Orchi's words below are so true.
A fine write and pic M. Yes, annoying if words come to us, and no pen and paper at hand. By the time we come to write the words, we may have forgotten them. Doh!
Happens too often - thanks Orchi.
Is it similar to getting a picture in your mind of what you wish to paint, but then forgetting it?!
Yes! So many are just for me, as I could never write as many that sing to me!
Great stuff as ever!
Ah thanks Dan. Much appreciated.
Such is "Poetry" , a thought simply defined. 19 words of elegance, with universal application and meaning. Such is "Poetry." - Phil A.
Thanks Phil - I guess it reflects my minimalist approach to much of my art.
Is this the new painting style? Just love it, the poem too.
I paint in many styles - always experimenting. I did a series of Modigliani heads a while back in this style - the same but quite different. Thanks m&m.
No need for more words
Thank you
