LIKE A ROSE πŸ’› OF 🧑 PEACE ~ BRIAN

ANGELA & BRIAN

SHE WAS NAMED ROSE PEACE ~ SHE GREW & BLOSSOMED LIKE A ROSE !

The first time I saw her I was just FIVE

ROSE PEACE was my Couin and so so much alive

She was anly a few weeks old ~ but she had such GRACE

I could see why my Auntie has named her ROSE PEACE !

She was like a Rose Bud all so pink & fair

And I saw her often as I grew up so tall

The ROSE BUD blossomed and flaxen was her hair

Lovely Young Lady ~ she was admired by all !

Everybody loved her ~ she could dance & she could sing

She excelled at Sport and Subjects that she chose

She left School at 18 ~ qualified to start Nurse Training

And gently bloomed into a Full Blown  Rose !

Perhaps for this Wicked World ~ she was too good to be

She died in a car accident ~ at just twenty-three.

Death doth hide ~ but not divide ~ it was as if

The Perfect Rose ~ that BLOOMED upon our Garden Wall

Has Blossomed on the other side ~ RIP ROSE PEACE ~ AMEN !

Thanks for visiting ~ comments welcome ~ LOVE BRIAN 🧑🧑🧑

At 28 this was my first experience of someone close to me dying so young. She looked so beautiful in her coffin ~ her injuries were internal. I found it hard to believe she had gone to Heaven so so Young. It had a profound effect on Me and I realised that our lives were both very fragile and transient. I resolved to make every day count. I visit her grave when Im in CAMBRIDGE. I know my relationship with ROSE PEACE is not over ~ but that one day we would meet again in PARADISE ~ AMEN ! BRIAN.

Lovely piece from you recounting part of a loved ones life and their sad loss. In a way, seeing younger folks passing makes our own lives all the more valuable especially when they were close to us. I remember thinking, when my brother died, I should now lead a life of which he would be proud. Not that i could ever manage such a thing but the thought sprung up within me.
Christian heaven must be a very crowded place.

Thanks DA for your very empathetic response. Yes indeed when someone one dies Young and was a *Lovely Person* we all resolve to live better tives to compensate for their absence ! However I do believe that the Good (and Stars like Buddy Holly & Patsy Cline) who die Young had lived COMPLETE (although short) lives and left very good vibes. The best MANTRA is Carpe Diem (Sieze the Day) because it may be our last. Visit any cemetary and you will discovet that Death is no respecter of age. The graves range from STILLBORN to 100+ ! .
Incidently Heaven is a Spiritual Dimension for all those who belive in Christs atonement for Sin ~ So in short Heaven has an infinite capacity ~ OK So because Angela & I are commtted Chistians we are assured of a place in Heaven just as Rose Peace is ~ OK

      Blessings & Peace & Joy

Thanks for your comment Barry - it is esentially for emphasis. You will see I have not used any capitals (except for names) in my reply so will try harder next time. I trust you appreciated the content of the poem.

        Yours Brian.

In fact, I was so distracted by the incessant and hugely annoying capitals that the content got rather lost.

A terrible shock to lose someone so young - I remember my cousin who at the same age died in a car crash - - his parents never got over the loss and cried every time I went to visit..... thank you for sharing you friend RosePeace - she now will be remembered by poets like me.

Thanks for your empathy Fay ~ it is indeed sad to lose someone close on the threshhold of life. It is very hard for Parents and my Aunty never fully recovered. The trouble with DEATH by CAR is that it is sudden and often no time to say good-bye. All Death is hard to bear but ~ without warning & Young is probably the WORST. Thanks for caring.

            Love Peace & Joy

A bitter sweet read - bitter with sadness and sweet as the rose.

            • ANGELA & BRIAN

Thnaks UNCLE MIKE ~ Bitter / Sweet my own sentiments exactly. Sweet & Bitter. Sweet that sh e gave so so much Joy while she lived ~ Bitter that she died so so Young. However in all these cases (and with Stars the die Young Patsy Cline ~ Elvis ~ Buddy Holly ~ John Lennon ~ Amy Winehouse etc) I get closure ~ that because of their legacy ~ their lives were complete @ 23 ~ 33 ~ 43 etc etc, And the blessed HOPE that one day we will all be reunited in the Spirit World ~ AMEN !

Blessings & Peace to YOU & YOURS
