Tune: Dominus Regit Me
('The King of love my Shepherd is')
Psalm 131
********
A Psalm, a little one, meekly
I sing, Lord, hear what I pray
My heart is not proud, nor my eyes
Conceited, humble things espies
Nor do I myself exercise
In great matters, but low lies
My heart, things too high I not know
Things too difficult I not show
Surely I have behaved, quieted
Myself as a child, and fed
And weaned as of a mother mild
Thus is my soul, contently styled
Let Israel hope in the LORD sure
His help avails evermore
Hope in Him henceforth and for e'er
With childlike faith, comforts share
