The Wood is Green

Saxon Crow

The wood is green

and the trees are budding

I hear birds singing

Now they are returning

It must be spring

That time of year

When the magic of nature

is everywhere

The flowers grow

and the daffs are out

It won't be long

Before lambing starts

I love Spring

above any season

The Green man walks by

awakening

There's so much life reborn anew

This cycle of beauty

Shining through

The wood is green

The fields are too

Spring is coming

Full of hope

    A fine write Crow.
You reading a bit of philosophy too, as I am? Yep, the wood is green, or soon will be. Well, it is already, if it's evergreen trees!
A paper had a section: 'Dept Of The ******** Obvious'. It listed things, like from this book: 'We are living beings'. Well, most of us look alive anyway. lol.

Lol. A meagre attempt today compared to some of the amazing poems I have read so far today on the subject of Spring. It must be in the air. Alas, no philosophical reading at present. Who are you reading out of interest?
Are we living beings or beings that are alive? Hmmmm.......

Great welcoming of spring in your words today. Bring on warmer times.
Excellent final line, for hope keeps us all happy and encourages forward looking.
