Within Our Worlds.

Goldfinch60

We sat drinking coffee

Looking out across the lawn.

The raindrops falling like diamonds

Enriching our lives as they fell.

Then it happened,

It appeared before us.

A rainbow shone,

Shone on our lives,

Showing us all

That our lives were good,

And all will be well

Within our own worlds.

You need rain for a rainbow Andy, but you also need sunshine.

We have rainbows nearly every day. There is even one on our license plates. Your beautiful poem reminds me not to take them for granted.

        • Goldfinch60

You are so lucky to see them every day, it is quite something when we se them over here.

Lovely. I'm fond of rainbows. Some say it's God's promise never to bring the floods again, others say there's a pot of gold at the end of it. Either way, they're pretty to look at!

            • Goldfinch60

Yes Clara, rainbows are wonderful, as to the promise of no more floods as you know it has been a bit damp here recently.
That pot of gold is in the beauty of nature's artwork.

Of course we played in the rain but at the end of every game we stop for coffee, we went back out again of course.
                Thank you SC.
