Tune: Ach Gott Und Herr
('Strengthen for service, Lord, the hands')
Psalm 119 v.145-152
**********
I cried with my whole heart, hear me
O LORD, look unto me, see
I will keep your statutes, for they
My guide be through night and day
I cried to you, LORD, O save me
I shall keep your commands free
I rose before dawn of morning
My calls for help I did bring
I hoped in your word, my eyes woke
Through the night, I to you spoke
And in your word did meditate
For your laws be to me great
Hear my voice, LORD, you loving-kind
Revive me, may it your mind
Be to do, for you judge justly
And i your true servant be
They draw near that mischief follow
They far from your law, I know
You are near, LORD, your commands all
Be truth, I follow, not fall
Concerning your testimonies
I have know of old, agrees
My soul that you have them founded
Them for ever, they grounded
