Tudor Love Note.

Fay Slimm.

Tudor Love Note.

Dearest
absented Knight,
lovelorn and ageing thy Lady's heart
in dire isolation awaits the one
who holds it in thrall.

Undeclared,
pledge of thy
care remains stonily silent in coldness
of granite which surrounds me
each tiresome day.

Write thee thy thoughts kind Sire.

Sendest
a message post haste
stating the day for expecting affection,
or swooning I mayest regret
thy part in delay.

Keep not
I pray thee more heartbreak at bay
else all my favours wilt wither
and die so do thou make
a ready reply.

Signed with
mine own discreet heart and boldly
writ for thine eyes only.

I hope she gets a favourable reply Fay ~ the age of chivalry is not yet dead!
            Nicely written in Albion.
            I bid you good knight.

            Ex animo, Alan

            • Fay Slimm.

Ah - Alan let us hope the age of chivalry never loses its hold -fro as in incurable romantic I love to write of those times and written in archaic the scene takes on deeper meaning for me as for being anywhere near Albion I will never have that much imagination but thank you indeed for the lovely comment.
