The Light of the World shines over us all,
As it shined through his life.
This man who was no Scapegoat,
But painted his thoughts onto canvas.

The Pre-Raphaelites are not my favourite artists - a bit too close to realism but WHH was one of the best

He certainly was Michael. There is a painting in the Ashmolean called "A Converted British Family Sheltering a Christian Missionary from the Persecution of the Druids" I have spent hours in front of that and every time I look I see more in it.

A fine write and pic Gold. Yes, poor scapegoat. It lived, while the other goat was sacrificed for sins. But was its lot much better?

        It is a wonderful artwork.
