I've seen the bruises
and i'm sworn to secrecy.
She is a loving mother
her babies need a father.
I'm sworn to secrecy,
impotent to do anything.
Anything i could do
would only add to her pain.

A sensitive write dusk.
With this crisis, it's two-way. Don't you come near me, and I won't come near you - best for both of us.
This is one sort of angle on this poem maybe.
Although very sad, I am sure that many of us will recognise the situation I suspect you more than adequately allude to here... I know I do... a truly poignant post today DA.... Go well and stay safe... N
Eastenders has a lot to answer for LOL. Thanks Neville.
Dusk,
So very true!
As a very dear friend of mine once said to me, “You’ll have to walk a mile in my shoes before you can understand.”
I understood what she said and supported her the best I could.
Take care!

Life can be very complicated and painful for some. Thank you for commenting on this cruel subject.
Wonderful write Dusk. It’s unfortunate how often these situations arise. A decision is often a lot harder than it seems to be.
Outside looking in things can appear black and white but life is rarely so kind. Thank you for commenting here.
Wow - hits with a punch.
Thanks ME its a painful subject which needs no kid gloves.
Very strong write d a, as others have said all you can do is support her in her hours of need.
