Day 2

Saxon Crow

No more work for a week or three

An unusual place, being free!

No more worries apart from one

But even that will soon be gone

So what to do with this gift that's here?

It's an early Christmas

So give a cheer!

I could write a book

Or sing a song

Create a religion

Or prove there's none

I could ride my bike

Through the fields and lanes

If I had one that is

Oh such a shame?!

I could call my friends

From around the world

Or sit in contemplation

Being one

There's so many things

That I could choose

But there's only one

That matters most

To spend this time

With my wife and child

Enjoying this pleasure

And the fun we find

So  don't dwell on

What has happened now

Because it does not matter

One bit how

Because each moment is precious

A gift to behold

So embrace these treasures

And never let go

Common sense rules - but the worries for the future are still there - so many will be affected by the aftermath.

The pragmatist in me says life will go on. But the bit of me that has a heart couldn't agree more.

You 'told off' anyone (nicely) for getting too close to you - out of the home, that is.
I saw a 'spare any change, guv?' guy in town. An opportunist? Hardly anyone about anyway, let alone a good day with crowds about.
I had a short word with him, concerning 2 metres - for his sake and mine.

You mean you were outside?!! Shame on you orchi

Erm yes, but some essential shopping. Or Fido, me '18+'watchdog', would bite me! He barks at anyone not marking a poem 18+ if it should be so marked! Barmy, I know, as he is non-existent! lol.

Lovely happy words and fun to read. I hope you can look back on these times as those where the three of you drew closer as a loving unit.

As you day each moment is precious, treasures every one of them.
