Frustrated Calendar.

Goldfinch60

Every morning I come down stairs,

Put the radio on,

Switch on the computer.

Load up my email accounts

To see if anybody wants me.

Load up my calendar

To see what is in store for me,

In store for me today.

And there it sits,

Full of things to do,

Which of them can I do,

Can I do today?

None of them!

Such a shame

To have a full calendar,

But not allowed out,

Allowed out to follow,

Follow my old life.

So I stay,

Stay indoors and create,

Create my new life,

Which will be fine,

As I have music,

I have words,

And I have my mind.

A fine write Gold. You seeing the garden more often too?!

    • Goldfinch60

Oh yes, I keep on thinking I must do some gardening but I just go and lay down in a darkened room until that thought goes away.

Oops! We're not 'getting out more', as the saying goes. Or another saying, 'I'll get my coat'. Will we need it, when we're allowed out again more freely? I'm thankfully not so restricted. Going out is a mine-field though. Some still don't do social distancing. Have to shoo them back 2 metres. We'll pay for it if we don't observe 2 metres. Pity I was not shut in, in 1066. I would never have turned up that day.

Good positive read my friend - - I certainly agree we have much for which to be grateful.

Thank you Fay, yes we certainly have.

You still find time for those river walks though I bet. Stay at home they're telling you.

Read any good books lately.... or theres always clicking on something musically obscure on you tube to discover new horizons.
I just had 5 huge boxes of groceries delivered free from government..... got an ASDA groceries delivery arriving at 5pm.... i'm going mad..... the world has gone bananas.... ive literally got 3 bunches of bananas now.

          • Goldfinch60

I need some bananas I am going to try and get some today.

Yes I still walk every day by My River mind you there are very few people around and they will never catch me, over 4 mph yesterday, I'm getting better, in my younger days I was walking at over 5 mph.

Ah well off on the banana hunt!
