Gold Vision.
From cool mist of dawning
re-lighting the hill
as breeze stroked old pine trees
I caught a gold vision.
From inside autumn woods
the fall of long legs
broke no spell of silence
as new venture beckoned.
From moist patches of leaves
ears cupped to listen
and as head fell to browse
I saw young horns glisten.
Wide eyes pierced the shadow
sniffed something not right
then lithe as quick silver
dived that deer out of sight.

Wonderful brush with Nature Fay very well captured
Great that you enjoyed the tribute to one small deer who appeared like a gold vision thank you Andrew for your visit and comment
Mr. Andrew C. Forrest took the words right out of my mouth, so he did...
Lovely Fay and true

Great minds they say think alike Nev and am honoured two gentlemen thought the same - -- my efforts to bring such a beautiful creature to readers is my delight........ thanking you kindly and more my friend................. x
A lovely write Fay.
So pleased you enjoyed the read dear Orchi.
Painted vivvidly as ever with sophistication of your unique brush strokes..... i watched this scene unfold as the breeze raked those trees.
Can't but think you live in a idyllic spot surrounded by such marvels. Or is it all in your mind?
Well lots of my writing is based around places near where I live D.A. and wild deer live in nearby woods but I have not seen them as I do not go there at dawn - - but I have met a man who does just that so my poetic mind weaves a spell around what he has seen......... hope this answers your question - and thank you so much for your supportive interest in my efforts with words.
Took me to a time and place that , in these difficult times, can only be seen in dreams.
Too true Michael - but we need dreams like this to lift up our spirit as we face what may come as a result of planet-abuse. Nature at least has stayed true to itself.
I could see that deer in your words Fay. It is so wonderful to sit in silence and see those deer.
