Not Quite Out of the Blue

Neville

Not Quite Out of the Blue

No one saw the virus

Hit

The seen it all before

Route was just so

Goddamn

Poorly lit

Or should I say it was

Ignored

And more than just a

Little bit

Until it was too late

For some of us at least

Sad but true

Thanks though for the

Gift of distance

Plus all that other shit

Remember

Since the end is nigh

Dont

Just sit back as

So many other people

Die

Do something good

For once

Listen to the people cry

We want to make

Love

We don’t want

To be fucked

By presidents’ politicians

Bullies and thugs

We could all see it coming

It was simply

Not quite out of the blue..

It sure wasn't out of the blue - all the signs were there. Much enjoyed this in as much as one can about this horrible issue.

    • Neville

Thank you Michael, .. I was almost too embarrassed to post this and of course, everyone has an opinion on such issues... My daughter and her partner are very much on the front line and still dont have all the protective gear they need... as of yesterday.. her face masks were stamped exp 2018...scary isn't it...

      Stay safe & well,

      Neville

We (all of us?) are going to require even more of the PM and Co., when he recovers, I suspect - going through his own crisis at present.
I don't have much opinion of the political side.
Do your daughter and partner have 'temporary' PPE? Thinking of you all.

      • Neville

thank you for dipping in Orchidee… whilst I am not a fan of our current PM, for several reasons, I would not wish him.. or any other individual harm..

I do feel most strongly that more could have been done earlier... and done differently maybe...

I am not sure what you mean by temporary PPE … as far as I am aware, everything except for scrubs and uniform is disposable... thank you

        Neville

I suppose I mean home-made PPE - masks - or even buying own PPE - though people should not have to do that. Will a 'Oh, it was OK for HIM - the PM' mentality set in? I feel it could give the PM a deeper sense of awareness, though as you and I, we wish him nor others any harm.
Meanwhile - you seen any of that £2.4m from 'Harry & Meghan? Or did they give it to me? Is it under my mattress?
But things are worse - there's Ant & Dec on telly. Arrggh!

Strangely Dean Koontz in a 1980/90 novel predicted a virus eminating from wuhan in china would sweep the world with devastating effect in early 2020.... (google it)

I didnt see it coming but we have been tempting fate haven't we as the so called western educated world with our clever capitalist led ways of life. Each of us comfortably numb to certain realities.
Fear is now an everyday experience for us all... we do not know where we are going with this in our relaxed society. We can hardly look to a neat and tidy end to this as appears to be happening in china for we are far from comparable to their authoritarian regeime.

thank you DA... I was not aware of the Koontz premonition but there have been several devastating pandemics in the past and most academics have been anticipating something very big for a while.. Yes, I would agree that mankind (some parts of it more than others) have been tempting fate and living dangerously...

I certainly appreciate you checking in and considering my present view..... Stay safe..

There is an opinion that this virus was created deliberately to remove the weak and the old codgers like me from the world so somebody planned this.
The one thing that seems to be coming out of this is that many people are becoming more helpful towards others, I hope this continue and the world will be come a much better and friendlier place to live in.

I dont believe such conspiracies … you will be safe as long as you stay inside, look after the NHS and help save lives... oh' and wash your hands frequently... Yes it almost always happens when everyone is in the same uncomfortable boat.... but remember too, there are two sides to every coin.... Stay you, stay safe and stay well..
