Envious

Primrose

I envy those people

The ones that never

Fight

With their own mind

The ones that don’t

Break down

Over what seems to be nothing

The ones that don’t

Take pills

Every single day

Just to stay sane

The ones that don’t

Freak out

When it’s too loud

The ones that don’t

Tremble

When they’re overwhelmed

I envy you

I’m the one

That fights

With my own mind

Trying

To gain control

I’m the one

That breaks down

Laying on the floor

My hand cupped over my ears

Pressing as hard

As possible

Trying

To block out

The noise

I’m the one

That take pills

Every

Single

Day

Because I can’t

Be me

Without them

I’m the one

That freaks out

Over the noise

The sound of a spoon

Scraping a bowl

I’m the one

That trembles

Shaking

Crying

For my world

Came crashing down

I envy you

Free from your own mind

I envy you
