Comforter Companion

Tune: Capetown

('Gracious Spirit, holy dove')

John 14 v.16-18

********

Jesus to the Father prays

And after not any days

The Comforter, Spirit, He

Shall be given, see

Given to us that He may

Bide with us, e'er with us stay

For ever, He not depart

Inhabits each heart

Even spirit of truth He

Eternally so He be

The world cannot him receive

For they not believe

They do not see him or know

But believers here below

May know Him, for He does dwell

In our hearts, we tell

Jesus will not lave us be

Comfortless, pitiably

But will come to us and stay

In the Spirit's day

Thanks A&B. It wouldn't be allowed in other employments - working without adequate PPE.
You are finding the truth of this every day - the Paraclete - as we all can, though in less dangerous situations also.
But not going mad - tempting God - as a church somewhere was continuing to meet - naughty.
