covid-19 solidarity

dusk arising

I deny you access bastard.
You shall not reside in me
to cowardly kill my family.
You shall not use my body
as a vehicle to kill our NHS.
I stay in defiance at home
proud to do just as i'm bid.
I defy you bastard covid-19.

  • ANGELA & BRIAN

Brian here ~ Good Afternoon DA. Your very powerful Poem expresses the way how most of us in *statutory* LOCKDOWN really feel about COVID 19. Thanks for sharing the Poem & the Video.

Peace &Joy to You & Yours
    Yours Brian & Angela ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™

You most certainly have my sympathy as one who is staying away whilst your partner works especially in your recently wed situation where i am sure you enjoy a lot of physical contact. My sense of humour imagines you hosing her down in the shower, on her return from work, before you will let her near you LOL. Hope you are both staying safe and well.

Thanks DA for yiur Droll Comment ~ much appreciated. It could have been worse ! Had we not had our Truncated Wedding ~ Angela would still be with her Parents and I would have been *Home Alone* in my Flat. However things worked out for the best because we completed our House Purchase (no chains !) and moved in together on 24th March. Angela of course leaves all her *Working Clothes* in the Hospital and she always has a shower (I do wash & *hose* her back) and changes her Clothes before we have a welcoming HUG ! So far we have no COVID 19 Symptoms. She is due for a TEST ! Fortunately having lived in a Flat (alone or with another Bloke) for over 10 Years I know the basics of cuisine and can wash iron ~ hoover etc ! Angela is not on ICU ~ but is quite drained (emotionally & physically) each Evening when she gets Home. There are lots of People in my Position who are married to NHS Workers. Captain Tom has lfted all our Spirits. We are connected to our Communal Family through ZOOM !

It's enough to make us write something like this also, to the greedy people around, and those who are doing their worst at this time, e.g. spitting at front-line workers.
I'm busy ya know - collecting funds for Branson's private island upkeep. He says his airline may go bust. If it does, I feel for the staff, but not for him.
Have to help him all we can, ya know. Doh!

It's obscene to consider a multimillionaire to be above any of the rest of us mortals. Yes I agree to sympathy and aid for his employees but i hope his own pockets provide a HUGE contribution to any aid provided.
However, it is the virus itself causing all the social and economic hardship and as such bears the brunt of my wrath.....

Hey Uneducated OAP you keep latching onto other peoples comments about my postings rather than creating a separate 'new' comment (like everyone else does) .... grrr lol... it means that my replies to you also goto the other person so i cant bring our intimate disgustingly filthy chit chat out into the open here. Did you manage to locate the rot proof jokey shorts at asbestos-R-us ?

            • dusk arising

The 'reply' is for the author of the poem to reply to the person who's made a comment about it. There's a comment box for you to make a comment on someones poem entitled SEND COMMENT.. this shows up on the right hand side of my laptop screen beneath each poem..... hope this proves helpful.

Ditto, ditto, ditto. Can't say more!!

Thanks ME. This is a threat to the human race ... I'm glad you are doing the right things for the safety of you and yours.

A powerful and very poetic reminder that this virus needs fighting with all we've got - I second your slaking of such a coward.......... and a big thank you for the lovely number by one of my favourite singers.

Yep, the NHS, local gov and Boris himself wrote to me revealing i am extremely vulnerable so i'm trying to be a good boy.... So very sad to see our NHS suffering with poor supplies and it's resultant deaths.
I thought Katie sang this beautifully and the song contains a message for any of us feeling alone under this lockdown situation.

Powerful write, if we follow the rules we should stay safe but many do not and the idea of lifting the isolation is quite frightening at the moment.
                    Stay safe d a.

Powerful vibration my friend, love it!

say it like ya mean it why dont ya.. when dealing with something like covid-19 that has no good intention's whatsoever, one has to choose one's words carefully.. and I would say you did just that sir โ€ฆ

Oh' and I'm in your corner,

                    Neville
