TOO TIGHT

Michael Edwards

TOO TIGHT

The kitchen stool she sat upon

at 3pm or thereabout

and when she put the kettle on

her head got stuck inside the spout.

Oh lol, good write and pic M. What's Miss Berles up to there? is she trying to make a cup of tea?!
If going into some staff canteens, it looks as if they have thrown the food and drink around the room sometimes.

      Scatter Berles?

You know the places, e.g. if you have a job interview. The store/shop/office looks lovely, then they show you the staff canteen, and you might hurl..... And do you know Hurly Berly Berles?

They just don't make those kettles big enough nowadays.

I know - it makes you boil doesn't it.

Love to read your poems, Michael, but sometimes I do wonder where you get these ideas from. Didn't even know they still made kettles.

I don't currently seem to have the inspiration to write serious stuff but ideas for these short humerous ones seem to come from nowhere. Just as well in these awful times.
thanks so much Fred - hope you are well.

As soon as I saw your picture on my screen i let out a peel of laughter.... such fun. Love the play on words, this one is a trick i often find amusing.... mental messy pictures of when someone decides to put some soup on etc.

Aw that's praise indeed. I have posted the penguin family series before but will be reposting over the coming weeks. I cut my thumb recently - perhaps I should apply a salad dressing.
