DOUBT THREW

Michael Edwards

DOUBT THREW

Doubt threw its shadow far and wide

and fell upon the tears she’d cried

in desolation where she stood

her bleeding heart misunderstood

with just the muffled sounds that float

from bustling cities far remote

a stranger there in loves lost time

where no one fits the paradigm.

Gosh, love's paradigm. There's a challenge for a partner indeed.

What a wonderful tangled mess of screwed up emotions love can be as we travel along life's high-wee.

Can't it just - although I keep my wees low. lol

A fine write and pic M.
I used to think para-dime was pronounced para- did-jum. Enough waffling!
Miss Berles having a spot of trouble there in this poem?!

You're rattling on towards 1,000 poems, I see! That's a lot of berles for you - and us other poets. Has Miss Berles got enough syllables in stock for us all?

Ah this made me near crying to think of the doubts that gave way to that bleeding heart - you have scribed such a familiar result too in that final couplet.... good write Mike - but I fear it must be the long lockdown making me take to tears. sniff sniff.............

Brian here - Uncle Mike Buenas Noches ! Love the PENGUINS - If you have a KID in tow & theres a Hole - He*ll always fall right in it !

PARADIGM - A World View underlying the theory & methodology of a Particular SUBJECT - in the NATURAL or BEHAVIOURAL SCIENCES !

Try applying that theorem to LOVE ! After a lifetime of study you would be no nearer the TRUTH than when you first started. Freud (after a lifetime) reached this conclusion about LOVE *Its better FELT than TELT* AMEN !

Blessings & Peace to YOU & YOURS
          Love BRIAN & ANGELA πŸ§‘πŸ€πŸ’™

          A vicious seed of doubt
          Once rooted will sprout
          Leaves it’s victim in pain
          Trust, difficult to regain

          Engrossing subject
          Beautifully poemed
          Exceptional image
