Wishing for More.

Goldfinch60

Our lives can be so wonderful,

We go through them

Living each day doing our best,

Giving help to others,

Receiving help from them.

This harmony between all

Makes us realise life is good,

And in our life we become contented,

Contented with little,

But it does not stop us wishing,

Wishing for more.

    Good write Gold.
Some churches may seek 'more'. But in some places we may feel left behind - a clique group seems to have more, but leaves the other people out.

Thanks Orchi, cliques in any organistion only ever think of themselves and in religious houses that is totally wrong!

Well, it seemed cliquey to me. I felt I had to be 'loud' or 'jump up and down' in informal worship, or be left out. Others may have felt left out too, just because the leadership team was mostly loud. You know, when it can become 'The [insert name of a church leader] Show'.

Wishing for more is a part of what keeps us going, a part of our humanity..... like my poem questioning what are dreams for.... i guess theyre a part of what makes us realise we have wants, needs and desires..... the magic force which drives us forward. If we stop dreaming or wishing... well everything else will stop for us too.... so get on with it... buzzard.

OK! OK! Keep your hair on! I will see what I can be getting on with today.

Beat my speed walking speed over my two mile walk this morning so that is a good start, 4.15mph.

We all hope if that's the same as wishing - great write.

Somewhere in your poem is the sense of hope. It seems we are born with it and never lose it. "Contented with little" "wishing for more." that's hope. Loved your little lesson for today. - Phil A.

                • Goldfinch60

Thank you Phil, hope must always be with us.
