Emotions into words

Poetic Dan

I write this down with a heavy heart, each day we have been apart, my soul goes further back to the dark.

Although it's true I was here long before you, you dried thoses tears and then made new

I drown in my sadness of happiness that's never been, holding onto any moments like a candle in the wind.

My hope for future is in the seeds I planted, for never am I truly out of my darkness.

Unable to be unaware of the energy I've shared in a stare, locked in a mental prison of open despair

I've achieved many mile stones and passed lessons for you but never to truly let go of the past and enjoy what is new.

Best I can do is try to put my emotions into words, hopefully you'll learn a better kind of surf.
