Bells

Fay Slimm.

 Bells.

Million bells waving bright bonnets of blue
Flaunting tall ranks of incredible hue.
Groundbreaking columns of stalks fill the shade
Assailing our senses from every dull glade.

Mid dapple-dim woods we tread without sound
Breathtaking armies of blue all around.
Sun shedding Spring over cold woodland dew,
Highlighting patches of mystical blue.
Sheer seas of colour all billowing there
Dance to perfection their Show of the Year.

A fine write Fay. I could set this to a hymn tune, and possibly extend it a bit, if you wish?

      Beautiful Fay
And the bees have it all to themselves this year
I hope if gives hem a chance to recover
      BRAVO!

      • Fay Slimm.

Yes I hope so too my friend - - bees are vital to the future of most plant life.

ANGELA HERE - Thanks FAY for a lovely rhyming Poem & Picture extolling the virtue of my fave Spring Flower. I like the Spanish & English ones equally ! Your Picture shows the unique *Carpet of Blue* created by the Woodland Bluebells. The fact that they are *transient* - due to th canopy closing as the leaves develope and competition from other plants - adds to their beauty and intrinsic femininity !

        Blessings & Peace & Joy
        Love Angela & Brian 💜💜💜
