Fading
In knowing
Memories
Often fail
And
Bruises always
Fade
I had hoped
So very much
Indeed
To save
The essence
Of her
In those places
We once played
Such precious
Moments
Filled
To the very
Point of
Overflow
With laughter
Longing
Love and song
I cannot
For a moment
Now explain
Just how much
I wanted them
To go on and on ...

I know the feelings you have so well expressed here Neville. It certainly touched places and took me places as good poetry always should.
Your sparsity of detail with just enough guidance hits home, as it has done many times for me. A credit to your writing skills.
How very bloomin kind sir... I can not thank you enough DA,
