THE MONTH OF MAY ~ Is very special in the Northern Hemisphere because it marks the turning from Spring into Summer and it is the most colourful Month of the Year ! Not only the Flowers but all the Ladies seem to vie with them to be Prettier & more colourful. Their Black - Brown - Grey of Winter are at last replaced by every shade in the Palette. Our UK Parks are now OPEN and because there is much less pollution the TREES are 40 shades of simmering GREEN !
Though April Showers ~ may come our way
They bring the Flowers that bloom in May
More bright & beautiful each day
They all tell Us ~ Summer*s on its way !
As through the leafy Forest Paths We stroll
Their shapes & shades & scents embrace Our Soul
Heather - Pansies - Daisies all growing ~ side by side
Buttercups & Daisies & Dandelions We spied !
Due to COVID LOCKDOWN ~ There*s less polluted air
Insects - Birds & Butterflies ~ flying everywhere !
The young leaves on the trees ~ the greenest we have seen
We*d swear we*re in Killarny cos there*s *Forty Shades of Green !*
Lily of the Valley and Pink Blossom on the Trees
Each Month has its *Claim to Fame* ~ but MAY will always PLEASE!

A fine write A&B.
Can you help? I was gonna read a book '40 shades of green' all about trees. Fido keeps barking at me. Have I picked up the wrong book? It says '50 shades of.... something'! heehee. He only barks to save me from swoons.
Greetings UNCLE STEVE ~ Pleased you enjoyed our presentation ! I think its *50 shades of Grey* your talking about ~ a modern version of the KS. One of those silly books tht sells a million because it titilates the libido. Thanks GOD the BIBLE ~ which stimulates all your ODES ~ translated into most languages of the World is still the Worlds best seller !
Blessings to You & Your Pontifical Pooch

I knew it was some colour, but not green! And what am I doing knowing about such books?! heehee. A modern version of the KS, but never of the KP. The KP book is '1,001 uses for Botox'. She's tried them all out you know!
Great to see back to basics rhyming with three and four letter words. Like classical nursery rhymes e.g.
Ned Ned the donkeys dead
he died last night with a pain in his head.
Bon Apres Midi DA - Thanks once again for a Constructive (but not Destructive !) comment. That is the essence of of positive MPSING ! Remember it was Nursery Rhymes that taught us History and Rhyme & Rhythm and preserved the Medievil oral poetry tradition ! In Essex we have both *Old King Cole* and *Twinkle Twinkle Little Star* !
A Poet has to be a WORDSMITH ! In English there are little words & big words ~ common & less common words but Angela & I always try to use the most approprite word ~ for Rhyme & Rhythm. English is NOT the fisrt language for some Members so we do want our Poems to be coherent for the majority ~ OK !
Blessings & Peace & Joy

Yep. I remember reading one or other of you commenting that you were supporters of the classical style where the right word must be chosen and went on to say how different that is to modern poetry where any word will do. Well if that were true you'd be reading gibberish and judging by the amount of favourable comments this modern style poet accumulates, my 'any' word choice appears to be quite the right word in a good few readers eyes.
I'd be pleased to see you being a poetic wordsmith on MPS which would be stark contrast to the paragraphs of junior school level information which accompany many of your posts and I would delight in a sophisticated choice of words from you exploring your depth of empathy for your chosen subject. Not holding my breath though.
The month of my wifes birthday - gotta be good.
HI UNCLE MIKE - its exactly like it says on the TIN (see the visual) Ladies born in MAY are ~ Pure - Humble & Sweet !
Pleased you enjoyed the presentation !
Blessungs to You & Yours

BUENAS TARDES CHRISTINA ~ Pleased you liked the Flower of May and the Presentation. During LOCKDOWN we love having Walking Access to Woods & a Lake & Streams. You are fortunate to live in a very scenic State now that Winter is over. We are down to 16C = 61F this week. 21C = 70F forecast for next week. The BEACHES are now OPEN but not the CAFES escept for Take-away FISH & FRIES and BURGER & FRIES & COKE ! The Bars are closed so are the Swimming Pools (Caronavirus can swin real good !) Also the FAIRGROUNDS are closed. We can play GOLF & TENNIS (1 on 1) with non-Famoly Members. How are things in Your State ? Are all your Family @ Home with YOU ?
Bediciones - Abrazos y Besos @ Todos
Amor de Angela y Brian ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
yes, all of the family is home with me. Nothing much is open beyond grocery stores and pharmacies. You can get drive thru or pick up food at restaurants that are doing that. No activities are open beyond the state parks and you can bet I was out there! So.....keep in touch!! Christina
It is so wonderful walking with Nature at this time of the year and your words do it so much justice.
Andy
GOOD FRIDAY ~ Uncle ANDY - Thanks you for your kind words. Those of us who have easy access to the *Countryside in May* during LOCKDOWN are blessed indeed. Rod Stewart said he was blessed to have a big Garden & a Swimming Pool & a Games Room etc etc ! Families trapped on the 18th Floor of High Rise Flats (with no Lift operating) in Large Cities are less fortunate. We must count our Blessings (in the UK) especially now that restrictions are easing. Is the CROQUET CLUB open again ? We have access to Tennis Courts & Golf Clubs in our Area but not Leisure Centres ~ YET !
Blessings & Peace to You & Yours
Love ANGELA & BRIAN ๐๐๐
Yes we started palying croquet agin on Wednesday and that is where I am off to this morning, there are strict rules given by the Croquet Association as to how we should play but social distancing is no problem as we rarely have to get close to each other, seven yards is about the norm.
