Tune: Abbot's Leigh
('Glorious things of thee are spoken')
Psalm 18 v.31-38
***********
For who is God, except the LORD?
He the true and faithful Word
Who except our God is a rock?
Firm in Him we withstand shock
It is God that girds me with strength
Helps me soon and too at length
He makes my way perfect, shows me
What His plans, purposes be
He makes my feet like the deer's feet
Agile of pace, swift, and fleet
And He sets me up on high for
He does lift me up 'tis sure
You have given to me th shield
Of your salvation, revealed
Your right hand has upheld me still
As you show to me your will
Your gentleness has mad e me grat
You have not left me to fate
You have enlarged my steps 'neath me
My feet not slip, settled see
They be in your paths, enemies
I pursued, and each runs, flees
I overtook and them consumed
Sore their plight, for they were doomed

And when one of god's wonderful creations pecks the eyes out of another one of his creations and continues to peck it to death (which has gotta be a really painful disgusting way to die) do you STILL think that god is worth worshipping?
Ay oop - Sylla tells me there's a shortage of syllables but a consignment is due in from Wohan - should we accept them?
Thanks M. Eek - nope, not contaminated sylla berles!
Where was the gentleness when Joyce needed it?

I can understand this Gold. There's King David here, writing this Psalm, though he did not write EVERY Psalm. He had his troubles too. Yet how to find a way through. We had prayers for two people at church (the C word), but they passed away, so..... Two of the finest people too. One a front-line person; one an Elder's wife, though young.
