Tune: Ewing
('Jerusalem the golden')
Psalm 48 parts
*********
Great is the LORD, and greatly
To be praised in city
City of God, Zion be
In Jerusalem, see
Mountain of His holiness
He shall the righteous bless
Beautiful situation
Praise be from each nation
'Tis the joy of the whole earth
Praise Him, give Him His worth
Mount Zion, it the city
Of God, He the King be
He known there for a refuge
Trust in Him, take courage
His palaces there shine bright
With everlasting light
We have thought of your kindness
In your temple, come bless
Us, O God, for as your name
Is, so your praise the same
It be to earth's farthest ends
Your presence there attends
Righteousness true is found there
It is your dwelling fair
Let mount Zion rejoice, for
Inhabitants for sure
Shall know your judgements, justice
Hear our prayers, each good wish
Walk about Zion, and tell
As you go round, mark well
Her buildings, and tell children
He our God to death e'en

How epic, the way you put the YouTube video helped me with the melody. Great.
Thanks A.
So why don't westerners follow the jewish faith? The actual faith of the 'holy lands'' ?????
Thanks dusk. Well, they follow Christianity - or supposedly.
Why cant christians agree. Why are there so many different versions of christianity if there is only one truth??? Surely that itself makes a mockery of christianity if you can choose which flavour suits you?
It seems so - there are denominations, all emphasising certain aspect(s) and throwing out other aspect(s) that they don't care for/don't believe in/or whatever the reasons.
I have found that no flavours suit me, all forms of Christianity are a farce trying to lead people into a belief that does not do what they say it does.
