Tune: St Anne
('O God our help in ages past')
Inspired by a painting by R.M.
**********
Each episode on sea of life
If even, calm, or strife
Help us Lord to learn, show your way
To us here every day
If pessimism, peer pressure
Or if arrogance stir
Joy, irritation, confidence
Or euphoria hence
In ups and downs help us to know
Your presence even so
Is there in all of life's aspects
And we sense its effects
Give grace to us, do lead us still
And show us all you will
Waves shall not o'erwhelm while you guide
No greater help beside

All those who go down to the waves in ships ..... said the vicar...... down? i thought...... does he me down under as in drowned?
I never did understand the meaning of that five fishes and two loaves story....what was it supposed to teach?.... other than blind faith?
Thanks dusk. I suppose one meaning of the five loaves and two fishes is that: God is able to do miracles; and that He is able to supply more than enough! Though as one disciple inferred: It's crazy, humanly speaking; how can we ever feed this lot with the little we have got? And there were over 5,000. Some Gospels say 5,000 men (plus women and children).
Nice one O. Does Tum Berles ride the waves?
Thanks M. Yes, Tum is having a life on the ocean wave!
Good one Orchi - don't go singing over the waves they will get their own back!
Andy
Thanks Gold. lol.
