Strong To Save

orchidee

Tune: Horbury

('Nearer my God to thee')

Psalm 143 v.9-12

********

O LORD, deliver me

My troubles see

Save me from enemies

I am midst these

To you I come, I flee

From my enemies, see

Take cover 'neath your wing

Hide here and sing

Teach me to do your will

You my God still

Your spirit is good, lead

me, meet my need

Lead me into the land

Even by your strong hand

The land of uprightness

There do me bless

Revive me, O LORD, for

Your name's sake sure

And for your righteousness'

Sake, and goodness

Bring my soul here,  I pray

Out of troubles this day

May I by your mercy

Be enemy-free

    Orchi,

    A fine write.
During these troubled times and in the midst of protests and riots, meditation and music are my go to for peace of mind.

Thanks Neville. I don't help the state of the world by insisting on singing! lol.

I hope he has a better delivery service than we are getting from royal mail at the moment.

            • orchidee

Thanks dusk. Well, there's no Saturday service for now, is there, from Royal Mail? That's put the tine hat on the whole weekend!
