He stood on the bridge at Hammersmith,
On this green and compact structure he observed life,
Across Hammersmith Bridge , he travelled swiftly to savour this moment before him,
Hammersmith Bridge, his idea of perfect heaven away from stress and strife.
Oblivious to the traffic and people around him,
He saw this red=haired goddess standing there,
She turned around and captivated him with her smile,
Spellbound, by her titian curls and green eyes, he stopped to stare.
Their hearts beat in unity,
Basking in the splendour of Hammersmith Bridge together,
Hammersmith Bridge, two people bonding slowĺy,
Both wanting this intimate moment to last forever.

I've stood on the bridge many times but never met a red-haired goddess - or any coloured hair goddess if it comes to that. Great poetical narrative FB - good to see you posting again.

Dont worry a goddess albeit an artistic one will appear before you at Hammersmith Bridge one day to inspire you....

Welcome back FineB. I recently just came back myself. I'm not familiar with this bridge, but the senario is a perfect launch pad for a love affair. Great write.
Hello Accidental Post,
Many thanks. Tis great to be back.
There are about 30 odd bridges in London.
A bridge for everyone.

Good to see you back FineB. Like Michael I have never seen my goddess on Hammersmith Bridge, the nearest bridge to me when I met my Goddess was Rochester Bridge.
