Just Thinking

PoeticBiscuit

“It felt like a lifetime” is a funny phrase,

It seems so long but shortens with age.

Children would say we have many days

Elders reply to enjoy our time to play,

It’s all over before you even know it,

Is one of many commons sounds

But as kids we never truly understand,

And reply with crazy stares abound.

Here at my age I’m entitled to agree,

Time flies by like races at  the Grand Prix.

Wether you’re like minded or disagree,

Use time wisely cause soon we all leave.

A superb poem on this fleeting life and time, I liked the clever comparison to the Grand Prix and the muse is good and true to life. Kudos.

Plz do read and comment my newest poem too. Thanks

Where do we go though? There's got to be more. But i am biased being a believer in reincarnation a belief which was a part of christian faith until it was dropped approx a thousand years ago when the world was flat and the sun revolved around the earth.

Is that not the age old question? If only we knew. I have no idea quite where I fall, I tend to look at them all in question. Only one sure way to find out and as this poem says, we’ll be there soon. Thanks for stopping by dusk, with such a thought provoking question!
