Untenable.

Fay Slimm.

Untenable.

Is it love or obsession

which takes an affair into the realms
of ultra delirium ?

Could thinking stay sane

yet sip intoxication as it drinks folly
from untasted surreal ?

Rife with the untenable

night's dreamy adventures reach for
extra dimensions.

As sensation starts racing

to sample more stimulation will love
depend on such hypnotics ?

Is it merely obsession

or could lust be justly labelled as thief
for masquerading ?

Does this I have written

seem feasible or has my lost mentality
flipped and gone astray ?

Keep playing - love this although I have an aversion to the word 'tenable' ever since that awful TV show of the same name started on the box. Anyway it doesn't detract from this - keep writing dear Fay.

    • Fay Slimm.

I most certainly will try dear Michael - - sometimes words seem to write themselves as memories raise again their repeated tunes.... but I will keep playing I promise.

      A fine write Fay.

      • Fay Slimm.

Sincere reams of thank yous for your visits and readings of my bits of scribble dear Orchi.

What you have written is fine and true. Love and lust are associated very closely. Lust after all is a part of attraction and certainly pleasureable, love may well result. Reversed, one may fall into loving someone and the lust may well follow. I hope both scenarios are true.
Obsession... is that where one subject takes a superior status to any other in our mind. Well love does that too but i guess obsession includes losing touch with reality and the bounds of reasonableness which can become negative too.
It's all a case of balance isn't it. And even when the balance is right it needs to be finely tuned for a relationship top last.

Clever writing Fay which gets a mug like me to expose what makes me tick.

        • Fay Slimm.

Yes most certainly D.A. - - -balance is the answer to all kinds of romantic attachments and am honoured that my writing brings out what you're made of my friend.......... that you for being so supportive to poets like me - - you so honestly warm to whatever the subject I might add.

makes perfect sense to me .. let's have another & make mine a double ....

          • Fay Slimm.

Thought you might see the craziness of Untenable as perfect sense and thank you immensely Nev - - though methinks not another like this - - but for thee a more sedated double coming up real soon................. x

Love and obsession -They say the greatest sex organ is the brain, so it's no wonder the two get muddled. Are we insane when we fall or when we desire? I can only say, "We'll never sort this out."
So I don't know if I loved your poem or am obsessed by it. But I'll fave it anyways. - Phil A.

          • ANGELA & BRIAN

BRIAN HERE ~ Good Evening Fay thanks for a *stimulating* Poem ! ANGELA love Tenable - The Format - The Function & The Frontman ! As a PHYSIO she admires WARREN because He has overcome congenital physical problems ~ but also He is great Host and good role mode for People with Dwarfism ! Love your Mantra *Playing with Words* because it has enabled you to plum verbally & effectively the unfathomable Well of LOVE ! Now that I am well & truly in the *Well* I am out of my acceptable linguistic depth no one warned me it would be this sensuous. What we Are experiencing we would find it impossiblcie to verbalize ~ without eroticism ~ and I would have to resign form the Diaconate ! You have managed this ~ but then you are a LADY. You write like Georgia O*Keefe paints and leave much to the imagination ! Thanks for caring !

            Blessings & Joy & Peace
Love Brian & Angela ~ AMEN

Yes, lust can be justly labeled, but only your poetic words can expose a thief as such.

          • Goldfinch60

Love and lust can be within us all but true love can always overcome lust.

            Good though provoking write Fay.

            Andy
