AGEING COUPLETS (2)

Michael Edwards

Aging gracefully - a polite way of saying

looking worse slowly - en route to dying.

Maybe but not yet Michael, not yet.

    Andy

You've done it again with your artwork, I can see so much in it once more.

    • Michael Edwards

Thanks Andy - a four petalled flower?

    • orchidee

      Good write and pic M.
You on the way out?! Not for along time, I hope. How old is Miss Berles now?

      • Michael Edwards

Actually yes - about to leave for my daughters for distance coffee.
Miss Berles is defying the reaper despite being told she is now designated as coffin fodder.

        • orchidee

What's that phrase? Something like 'coffin botherers', or maybe 'fodder' as you say?
At a church, one said 'Are you communicating?' I said 'Why yes, I'm speaking and listening'. They meant 'Are you going to take the bread and wine of Holy Communion today?'. Doh!
How will you drink the coffee - with a long straw from a distance? All these questions. lol.

Two lines which encapsulate my appearance.

You pic today has an uncanny likeness to a close up of the threadbare sofa we threw out 20 odd years ago.(just kidding).

You should have kept it - the Tate would be only too happy to exhibit it.
            thanks Dusk.

          • ANGELA & BRIAN

BRIAN ICI ~ Good Afternoon Uncle Mike ~ Loved the AB & the ODE. Angela & I - still being under 40 (remember that ?) - are *Keeping up Appearances* not with cosmetics but with healthy eating & exercise & sleep & not smoking ! In the AB I saw at least three (hidden) ageing faces ~ Centre ~ Upper right - Lower left and a very distinct White & Yellow Cat (not Smokey) bottom right. Thanks for scaring !

Blessing & Peace to You & Yours
            Love Brian & Angela & Smokey !

            • Michael Edwards

Thanks Brian - that's the beauty of abstract work - it's up to the viewer to interpret which is why I rarely give an abstract a meaningful title.
