As through the sea of life we go

May we your presence, Lord, know

Through storm and calm, and wind and wave

You the only one, does save

 

Grant to us, Lord, all we need, for

You do provide for us sure

Your grace is multi-faceted

Your people as your sheep e'er lead

 

Gifts and skills help us to employ

May none them fade or destroy

As a cargo ship in life's sea

Laden with precious goods we be

 

For all is given from your hand

To all peoples, every land

Help us to serve, glorify you

And strengthen us daily anew

  • Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 8.6.8.6. metre. I looked at some artists paintings online, and wrote poems on a couple of them, before visiting an Arts Studios Open Days. I gave the poems to the artists in person, who enjoyed them (not so far this year though, of course).

      A fine piece today Orchidee. the feeling i get when i am in a place which fills me with awe. Such as among the hills or upon the beach without the crowds. Places which one might describe as being the natural cathederals of the creator.

            ANGELA HERE ~ Good Evening Mon Oncle Steve - Love the Hymn (my fave on PSA 23) and the nautical Poem ~ two good sleeping Pills to take to BED. I love it when my MUSE is stirred by a picture it lways produces what Brian & I call a *Tone Poem* and you sure have produced one here. Our Poem tomorrow is influenced by a Table Setting and is called *KNIVES - FORKS & SPOONS* ENJOY !
            I love BIG BOATS and have enjoyed Oceans Liners with MAMA & PAPA also BRIAN. I have experienced some bad weather. In V 1. You stress the importance of Gods PRESENCE ~ in V 2. His PROVISION ~ in V 3. His PROTECTION ~ in V 4 His PEOPLE !
