Tune: Ravenshaw
('Lord, thy word abideth')
Psalm 36 v.9-12
*********
With you, LORD, is the fount
Of life, and we do count
What we can, you have made
All things, your plans outlaid
In your light we see light
It revealed to our sight
not false light, deception
But true light's beams, each one
O continue we pray
Loving-kindness each day
To them that do know you
With your graces endue
And your righteousness show
To upright in heart, so
Let not pride nor wicked
Turn me to paths misled
For there in those ways be
Those who set on evil, see
Are cast down, cannot rise
They who the good despise

Tut @ you wishing harm to others in your last verse and use of the word despise. Such dual standards for a god of love, you know, that christian god. God didn't write the bible, that was many different men.
Thanks dusk. The thought of getting rid of the wicked here, is because the good cannot, or may not, win otherwise!
Is winning a christian tenet? Such a competitive goal. Winning includes beating other competitors for an accolade.
Don't take me too seriously Orchidee, for once i'm teasing you.
Doh! lol. Some days now, I'm not even winning the competition for fighting our way out of paper bags, as they say. You know it - the Annual Paper Bag Competition!
A certain Reverend said 'I'm a man of peace; and anyone who disagrees that I am, I will punch on the nose!'

Thanks A&B. Well, it's goodbye to the wicked then - those who persist in it, and don't change, or won't change.
