Ego's Down

Neville

Ego's Down

Between the lines
Sat on a fence
Above the law
Beyond contempt
There sits
A tired and failing
Precedent
Trump card played
Tho few tears spent
No pomp
No etiquette
Oh’ how the mighty
They do fall
Watch
As ego’s down
Exit stage door number ….

Well, written into the constitution is the defence that a tyrant buffoon may only serve two terms maximum.

Looking far to the east no such people's power was ever established and we see arising a merciless control which our complacency bolsters.

They need Barack back - all was sensible then.
They did not listen to me. I told them never to appoint someone with such a dodgy barnet!

Thank you Orchidee, I am not usually openly political but I really do not like that man.. and yes, his predecessor Mr. Obama was a real gentleman..

There's a line twixt self-confidence and ego and that nutter has only ever been one side of it.

funny isn't it Michael us Brits seem to have an almost unanimous loathing for him whereas our friends o'er the pond seem roughly divided down the middle..

I would not be surprised if one of his middle names woz Marmite.. thanks for being on my side

In my first introduction to Marmite I spread it on the bread like peanut butter, one bite and I was retching. I had never met anything as repulsive, until Trump came along.Hopefully all will change come November, but how many will die until then. I have called him a fool, which he is, and yet I see far too many fellow citizens clamoring to his defense. It leaves me ever fearful for our future beyond November if it all goes wrong.
Your poem left me with increased hope. "Oh , how the mighty they do fall" Please be true. - Phil A.

                    With your permission-

To defile the lowest human denominator (TRUMP), only saps our own precious energy. Even the Devil needs its army of hapless buffoons to be elevated and that's where lie the stench.
                    Well writ my friend

                    • Neville

so glad you could join us my friend.. thank you...

Good words Neville, as with many in power all they are looking for is what they can get out of it without a thought for anybody else.

such a shame though... the world would be a happier and safer place without such narcissistic numbskulls... thanks for chirping up my friend...
