FOR MILLIONS ~ Life has been harder during LOCKDOWN and now in the UK ~ just when we thought BORIS was making things easier we*ve ALL (even KIDS ?) have got to be *Masked in Shops* from TODAY or £100 ($135) fine ! A friend of mine (who thinks the masks spread viruses) is threatening to shop at TESCO *IN UNDIES ! but wearing a Face Mask* Also remember to take your own ~ shops wont supply them. College closes today until September but things wont be back to normal this Year. Boris ~ with his EYE on the TILLS & the BILLS wants us ALL to be *UP & RUNNING* before CHRISTMAS but He didn*t say which YEAR !

It comes as no surprise that some of the happiest & contented Members on MPS are the RETIRED ! If you are reasonably fit and retired it must seem like *Paradise on Earth* ! No commuting to Work ~ No BOSSES ~ No need to be *up to date* with Hardware & Software ~ No need to have the latest car & *Keep up with the Jones*. It can only get harder Post-covid ~ with fewer Staff and lower margins etc. Angela & I will have to wait til 2060 by which time there might not be MUCH TO WAIT FOR !

But in being retired we have been through so much in our lives and most have paid their way to earn their retirement. Yes Covid 19 has been a problem but the problem has been worse for the elder community where it seemed as thought the powers that be seem to want to annihilate all those over seventy, me being one of them. The government just does not care about us or anyone else all it wants to do is get money back into their coffers for them to waste on things that do not matter except to give more to themselves!

BRIAN HERE ~ Thnaks for that ANDY it does ring a bell. As a Church Deacon ~ Angela & I have been assigned to two widows (80+) and a couple (70+ no car) to help them with Shopping - Gardening - Medical visits etc. They voice similar opinions to Yours ~ a forgotten generation ~ bottom of the Heap etc. I now realise that my comment about the RETIRED was little brash. The majority are NOT in good Health and many are in Dire Sraights ! Thnks for your comment. Boris does seem very intent on getting all the Workers back to the grindstone ~ paying Taxes & supporting Commerce. The 70+ are seen as a BURDEN perhaps ?

Thanks Uncle Steve ! Yes we will all be masked doing our Christmas Shopping and carol Singing (6 feet apart) wont be very harmonius ! We have a BAXI which keeps going all night so Saint Nick isin for a hott reception !
