it rained

dusk arising

Gazing through the window,
he watched the rain clouds
drizzle their misery onto his dream.

He felt its tears pour over him,
through him, out of him,
wishing it would cleanse his heart.

Hoping for sunnier times.

Good write dusk. Will we need brollies, or is that 'improper rain' of drizzle?

For you Orchidee, when the heavens open may you only be awash in goodwill sir.

Those sunnier times are always with us.

I think I may have heard that song before somewhere. If I had a quid for every time I have heard that song I think I could buy an island somewhere.
I obviously have the album by Miles (I think I have all his albums) but yesterday I heard it sung and played by Andrea Motis https://youtu.be/UxIPVAPRBi4
