and in the red red wine
of that evening
in act of words unsaid
life began
oh i was the pirate slaver
you were the raging seas
I then a ragged beggar
in that moment of release

When I saw the title I thought this was a follow-up to my earlier posting. A little gem.
I shall have to start posting toilet humour.
There was a young man from Kew
who came over all strange on the loo
and oh my word
as he strained on a turd
there was such an unsavoury poo
That release freed you to a wonderful life.
Andy
Life's ok but would be improved if i thought i could get away for a break...... but corvid makes tourists criminals.
A sliver of memory which intrigues more with each line - I love the draw of your first stanza and leave the read wanting more of that moment of release - another absorbing write D.A.
