Delightful Desire

orchidee

Tune: Franconia

('Blest are the pure in heart')

Psalm 73 v.25,26,28

**********

In heaven whom have I

But you, God, by and by

And upon the earth there is none

I desire, except one

You, O God, that one be

My heart and flesh fail, see

But you, God, strength of my heart are

You are not from me far

My rock and my portion

'Til all of life is done

Then on through all eternity

You e'er my God shall be

It is good for me to

Draw near to God anew

In the Lord GOD I put my trust

Show His works, though I dust

Thanks A&B. What happened to verse 27 of this Psalm? Erm, it called down judgement on enemies - one of the Psalmist's hobby-horses, it seems. Yet needed, or else his enemies would overcome him, and evil would win.

Thanks M. I left out a 'suspect' verse - verse 27. Well, not really suspect, but it's as I commented to A&B above.
