Dear Mind,

M.E.M.

Sometimes

you can be a cruel thing

to wonder in.

You will bring up

past guilt,

for no reason!

It's not like I can change what horrible

rude,

mean,

stupid thing I did.

So Mind,

stop making me feel guilty

for something I can't undo.

Signed,

Conscience

  • Comment from author about the poem: First created July 7/10, 2020 Have you ever been doing something, ANYTHING, and your mind wonders and the grabs hold on something guilty you did in the past? Then that guilt comes back and that’s all you can think about for a while? Well this inspired by that. Comments appreciated!

Conscience can often bring the past troubles to the fore but they were in the past and you will have learned from them to take you into a better life.
