That Summer.
Forever that summer will beckon
with mem'ry's
tender repeat of togetherness.
Generous the gem of glimmering
sunset willed
treasure to covert's duo mirror.
Saline drenched and dew-soaked
beach-bed moments
bred the first steps to closeness.
Nights pleasured a vintage desire
when lit fires .
melted the guilt of clandestine.
Under ebony's cloak warmth long
lingered among
late-love's slowly unwrapped song.

A fine Summer there Fay.
Yes when I saw the image my imagination ran riot with words - thanks for the comment dear Orchi.
Summer by the sea is a great romantic setting. Your poem contains some great phrasing: the "repeat of togetherness," "beach- bed moments," "the guilt of clandestine,"and "ebony's cloak." A truly inspired write. Loved it. - Phil A.
Am so pleased you enjoyed some of the phrasing in That Summer dear Phil and thank you for saying so -
Another beautifully woven pome.
Super write Fay, I think we may all have 'That Summer' within us.
